We are 2 hours into surgery with the plastics team. They are starting with the tummy saving the tissue for the next round. They expect Alice to have all their attention for the next 6 hours in the OR. The nurses are updating hourly and it has been totally uneventful. The plan for the next few days is: recovery in ICU for 2 days, then to a room on the floor and then home Monday or Tuesday.
The waiting room is enjoying/enduring music by Bill. Caroline has her ear buds in to escape that sound, Gepaw is doing yoga to alleviate back pain from sitting listening to the music and Ben is impersonating Bill. Good times!
